Lady Celtics Finish 3rd in KA-MO Classic

Last week the lady Celtics took third in the KA-MO Classic by defeating Metro Academy 49-42. The Celtics started off the week with an impressive 53-44 win against Liberty. The Celtics were lead by Alex Smith's 14 points, 9 of which came from behind the 3-point arc, followed by Patrice Jackson's 11 points. The Celtics ran into a tough Hickman Mills team and lost 30-48 in the semifinals. What seemed to be tired legs from the previous night's game the Celtics lacked any fire on the offensive end. Fortunately the ladies were able to bounce back and win the 3rd place trophy. The Celtics were led by Paulina Pengelley's 11 points followed by Cameron Randle's 9 points while Hailey Houser and Alex Smith each chipped in with 8 points apiece. This week the Lady Celtics are the #1 seed in the Grain Valley Sonic Showdown which they open up play against #8 seed Oak Grove on Monday January 26th.
